Utuhina is a suburb of Rotorua in the Bay of Plenty Region of New Zealand's North Island. == Demographics == Utuhina covers 0.67 km2 (0.26 sq mi) and had an estimated population of 1,600 as of June 2023, with a population density of 2,388 people per km2. Utuhina had a population of 1,491 at the 2018 New Zealand census, an increase of 114 people (8.3%) since the 2013 census, and an increase of 87 people (6.2%) since the 2006 census. There were 522 households, comprising 723 males and 768 females, giving a sex ratio of 0.94 males per female. The median age was 36.6 years (compared with 37.4 years nationally), with 315 people (21.1%) aged under 15 years, 327 (21.9%) aged 15 to 29, 651 (43.7%) aged 30 to 64, and 201 (13.5%) aged 65 or older.
